General
Name: Cedair Mostafar
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Species: Hunter
Family: N/A
Appearance
Eye Color: Grey
Hair Color: Black; usually tied back in a braid or bun
Height: 6’2”
Build: Tall and athletic; more muscular than lithe
Scars/Markings/Tattoos: Her hands are rough and calloused, and she has a few battle scars, mostly on her arms. She has a tattoo of an Inuit raven on her left shoulder.
Predominant Feature: Her smile rarely reaches her eyes; she’s more often seen smirking than actually smiling.
Skin Quality: Healthy tan; she spends much time outside
General Appearance: Tall and athletic, Cedair strikes somewhat of an imposing figure at first glance. Her sharp gaze contributes to that effect; she usually appears to be carefully scrutinizing some person or scene. She almost always keeps her hair in a braid or bun to keep it out of her way. As for her dress sense, Cedair wears comfortable, form-fitting clothing without any loose dangly bits of which an opponent could easily grab hold. That being said, she rarely wears jewelry for the same reason.
She carries throwing knives in her boots and belt at all times. Her weapon of choice is the katar.

Personality
Likes:
-Reading
-Sports (fencing is a favorite)

-Music
-Intelligent/talented people
-Tea
Dislikes:
-Shifters
-Ignorance
-Being indebted to anyone
-Indecisiveness

Influences: The Hunters; her past (since most of her family met their deaths and the hands of shifters, Cedair’s desire for revenge is her driving force when on the hunt.)
Goals: No-one can get a straight answer out of her on this one.
Strengths: Quick reflexes; hand-to-hand combat skills; excellent aim with throwing knives; learns new things easily; quick-witted; logical and rational
Flaws: Slight claustrophobia; obstinacy; a fairly short temper; a sharp tongue; somewhat close-minded
Habits: Cedair has the tendency to deliver biting or sarcastic comments whether they are desired or not.
General Personality:
Cynical and sardonic, Cedair is not one who tends to give a good first impression. She is difficult to read, often guarding her thoughts and emotions behind a raised eyebrow and mocking smile. Often assuming a pessimistic view of human character, she has no qualms about openly directing acerbic remarks towards those who, in her opinion, deserve them. Rarely does she take an instant liking to someone. One would find it difficult to gain her approval, but she is intensely loyal to those she trusts.
She takes pride in her ability to make logical and pragmatic decisions. On occasion, her temper does get the better of her. She can come off as rather close-minded and obstinate, something of which she is well aware but does not care to change. Her sharp wit and talent for picking up new skills and information with relative ease often makes her an interesting conversationalist.
Cedair is something of a loner by nature, but she is capable of working with others. She tries to analyze and utilize everyone’s – from her comrades’ to her enemies’ - strengths and weaknesses. She gives credit where credit is due.

Background
General History:
Cedair’s childhood was cut short at the age of ten, when her parents were murdered by shifters. It was perhaps the work of some Uzoma, or maybe the Deanons, but the reason behind the killing was simple: revenge. Her father’s sister was a Hunter, and the shifters hoped that attacking her family would cause her to break down long enough for them to strike.
It didn’t. Her aunt remained as collected as Cedair had always known her. Instead of seeking revenge, she formally adopted Cedair, telling the young girl the (partial) truth behind her parents’ deaths and taking her under her wing. Her aunt provided her with the instruction necessary for Cedair to become a top-notch Hunter, and Cedair immersed herself in her training, hoping to one day find her parents’ murderers. She was – and still is – driven by revenge, pure and simple.
While she participated in the indiscriminate hunts, Cedair always kept an eye out for any clues linked with the death of her parents. One day, when she was in her late teens, she was approached by a representative of an organization, one not associated with the Hunters. They wanted her talents; in exchange, they would utilize the resources at their disposal to help her find the knowledge she desired. She agreed.
The organization sent her out on several assignments over the course of the years, one of which involved a late-night raid on an out-of-the-way house in the middle of a forest. However, even Cedair is unaware a certain tiger-shifter’s connection with all of this...
